About Pierhead Tavern (PHT)

Our range of REAL ALES have enabled us to be listed with CAMRA. We have a rotating selection of up to three hand pulled cask ales on tap. Usually these will be from Scottish Craft Breweries such as Fyne Ales, Skye Brewery, Ayr Brewery, Loch Lomond Ales, Williams Brothers, Jaw Brew, Kelburn and of course, the Arran Brewery. We try to cater for all tastes with Blondes, Reds and Dark beers!

From KEGS we serve Ice Cold Tennent’s Lager, Belhaven Best, Guinness, Drygate IPA, Heverlee Lager & Magners cider.

WHISKY - a wide range of malts are on our shelves, from Auchentoshan in the south to Old Pulteney in the north, Balvenie in the east and Bunnahabhain in the west and, due to the landlord’s tastes, encompassing a good selection of Islay and local Arran single malts.

GIN - The whisky selection is in grave danger of being overhauled by our selection of, mainly Scottish, Gins, partly due to the enthusiasm of our staff who will advise on the partnering garnishes with each gin for best results!

    Great view - great food
View from roof terrace is amazing. Lovely place to eat a meal. Food excellent; specials well worth it. Will be great once restrictions eased to let PHT host live gigs again. A must visit.

    The Place for Veggies!
We enjoyed the excellent vegetarian fare on offer, sitting in the last of yesterday’s sunshine on the rooftop terrace. Spot on.
